Nyamwamba II, 7.8MW run-of-the river, hydropower project situated in the Kasese District of the Western Region of Uganda.
We are an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, specialised in the hydropower sector. We provide in-house design, construction, supply chain management as well as electro mechanical installations across the complete lifecycle of hydropower project development to commissioning. Our significant workforce is comprised of highly skilled and experienced personnel. We pride ourselves as being one of the very few hydro construction companies that “does not” subcontract its builds. This ensures a high quality, on-time, and within budget builds to meet and exceed client expectations.

Working since the year 2006 in Uganda, we carry 17+ years of experience to benefit our clients.
In 2006 the SAEMS team commenced development work on the 18MW hydropower project in Uganda. In parallel a further 11 hydropower projects were developed overseas totalling 77MW.
With an extensive employee base of 350+ personnel in Uganda and overseas SAEMS divested its hydropower portfolio in 2019. SAEMS thereafter progressed from developer to an EPC contractor, electro mechanical installation, O&M and repairs.
